This is the project I made in a class taught at the Trade Wind Gallery in Phoenix Arizona.  

The tassle is made by covering a 1" diameter wooden bead with right angle weave using size 15° seed beads. Then various surface embellishments were applied to give color and texture. 

The strap incorporates a 4-strand braid which feeds through the loop of the tassle and ends with a turquoise bead closure. 

The strap and fringe include turquoise and lapis beads as well as size 15° and 11° seed beads.
