This is my version of Cynthia Rutledge's Garden Urn. In fact, I made this one in her "Unsupported Vessel" class taught at the Trade Wind Gallery in Phoenix Arizona. The urn in this project incorporates increasing and decreasing peyote stitch (both gradual and rapid). There are 4 different colors of Delica beads in the urn to help achieve a textured, realistic affect. The strap incorporates a 4-strand braid which is connected to the urn's copper wire-worked handles. The flowers and leaves are comprised of various sizes, shapes, and colors of
seed beads, pearls, and fire-polished beads.
