This is my version of of Carol Wilcox Wells "Gilded Cage". Starting with her instructions in her book "Creative Bead Weaving", I scaled the bag down to a wearable size. I also decided to incorporate a design in the lid.  

The inside bag liner was done in tubuler peyote. The bottom of the bag and the lid was done using several layers of decreasing tubular peyote. The lid is connected to the bag with 2 strands of ladder stitch. The outside of the bag is covered with tubular horizontal netting. 22 carat gold and cream colored Delica beads were used throughout.
