Clown Trigger Fish is the project I made while taking the "String Of Fish" class from Jill Cremer at the Trade Wind Gallery in Phoenix Arizona.

Selecting the type of fish to bead up was the most difficult part. I went to the library and checked out all the colorful fish books I could find. When I saw the clown trigger fish, I really liked the colors and proceded to transfer it to a peyote graph chart.

The fish eyes are black onyx cabucons. The gills are worked in a peyote ruffle. The fins and tail are worked in brick stitch. The body of the fish is done in decreasing tubular peyote stitch. The fish hooks are made from 18 gauge sterling silver wire. The entire necklace was beaded in size 11° Delicas.
